Changdong Yellow River Bridge ( Chinese:长东黄河大桥 ) is located on the Yellow River in the hinterland of China. It connects Changyuan City in Henan Province and Dongming County in Shandong Province. It is a steel structure railway bridge built in the early stage of China’s reform and opening up. The entire bridge will be constructed in two phases with a total of two railway bridges.
The first bridge of Changdong Yellow River Bridge has a total investment of 241.67 million yuan (36.17 million US dollars in 1983) and a total length of 6.4 mi (10.3 km). Construction began in October 1983, completed on May 1, 1986, and opened for operation in November 1986.
The two bridges are single-track railway bridges, and the two bridges are built side by side. There is a 4078 ft (1243 m) long train passing station on the bridge.

History
Phase 1

Building parameters
The Changdong Yellow River No. 1 bridge has a total investment of 241.67 million yuan (36.17 million US dollars in 1983). It is 6.4 mi (10.3 km ) long, And it is a single-track railway steel truss girder bridge consisting of 3 bridge sections, the west approach bridge, the main bridge, and the east approach bridge.

It has 301 piers and the pier is more than 39 ft ( 12 m ) high. The bridge is equipped with 4078 ft. (1243 m) The long train will leave the station.
The No. 2 bridge is 8.1 mi (12.9 km) long. The second and first bridges are aligned with the openings, and both are prestressed concrete simply supported beams. The main bridge of No. 2 Bridge is 6.4 mi (10.3 km) long, the approach bridge is 1.3 mi (2 km) long, and the entire bridge is 8.1 mi (12.9 km) long.

The bridge is built on the Yellow River section of the main river channel with a width of 400 meters and the river beach is more than 10,000 meters wide. The bridge can withstand a magnitude 7 earthquake, and the flood control standard and design flow are 17,400 m³/s. The main nodes of the bridge are constructed using 14-manganese niobium bridge steel developed by China.
There is a floating bridge under the Changdong Yellow River Bridge, which can pass cars and pedestrians.
