Building parameters and technology
The total length of the bridge is 3,412 ft (1,040 m), with a total of 53 sections of steel box girder. The maximum section weight of the girder section is approximately 140 tons.
The main bridge crosses the Puli Grand Canyon about 500 meters deep, and the Deck height is 1,591 ft (485 m). the bridge main tower tall 505 ft (154 m). The bridge deck width is 83 ft (25.4 m). The longest span is 2060 ft (628 m).
Puli Bridge used about 154,000 square meters of concrete, about 8,833 tons of steel bars, about 7,562 tons of steel box girder, about 615 tons of steel strands, and about 491,000 square meters of earthwork.
The total cost of the bridge is 519 million yuan (US $80 million), and the contract period is 36 months, which actually took 4 years.
Puli Bridge uses rocket launch pilot cable technology and is the third bridge in China to use this technology. The other two are Sidu River Bridge and Lishui Bridge
